How much you know about CRT and TFT-LCD computer monitor?


-          CRT stands for Cathode Ray Tube and TFT-LCD Stands for Thin Film Transistor – Liquid Crystal Display.

-          In CRT, the display device is a Cathode Ray tube.

-          In TFT-LCD, the display device is a flat array of thin film transistors.

-           CRT monitor is bulky, consume a lot of space and power thirsty.

-          TFT-LCD is smaller in size, consume less space and save power. A 15” CRT monitor consumes 100 W power in comparison to TFT consumes 30 W.

-          CRT monitor has much faster response time than TFT –LCD monitor.

-          CRT monitor has one more advantage than TFT as its color responses.  CRT displays colors much better than TFT.

-          TFT monitor are easier on the eyes of the viewers than the CRT.
