How much you know about CFL and LED Bulb…….

- CFL and LED bulbs created a revolution in lighting in comparison of incandescent bulbs.
- CFL stands for Compact Fluorescent Lamps and LED bulbs stands for Light Emitting Diode.
- LED bulbs last 60 times longer than Incandescent bulbs and 10 times longer than CFL.
- Replacing the incandescent bulbs to CFL reduces the energy cost up to 75% and LED bulbs reduce the cost up to 90%.
- Incandescent bulbs are cheaper then CFL and CFL are cheaper than LED bulbs.
- Problem with CFL bulbs is – They contain mercury as 5 mg which is hazardous which can be spread in      environment after breakage of bulb.
- The compact fluorescent lamp emits its efficient light through an arc of electricity that is created between two filaments. A small amount of electricity that is used in CFL creates radiation which emits ultraviolet light. When this light is emitted, it causes a reaction in the phosphor coating on the inside surface of the bulb and this reaction gives the white bright lights to us.
- LED brighten up when electrons moves around within its semiconductor structure
- LED bulbs are new tradition but they are costlier than both types of Bulbs.
- LED bulbs use only 2~10 watt of electricity.
- A 3 W LED bulb gives the output of 45 W incandescent bulb.

Definitely , LED Bulbs are the new generation home lighting solution for coming years.
