      -BCCI is actually Board of control for Cricket in India.

-          -It is founded in the year – 1926 and it is headquartered at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

-          -BCCI is registered under Tamilnadu Societies registration act.

-          -It is affiliated with ICC since 1928.

-          -BCCI is the richest sporting body in India.

-          -BCCI does not depend on Government of India for its finances.   BCCI earns money by selling the telecast rights , sponsorship fee etc.

-          -BCCI alongwith ECB and Cricket Australia is the “Big three” economic players of cricket in the world.

-          -All the domestic cricket  matches were governed by BCCI.

-          -BCCI runs the nine domestic tournaments in a year.

-          -The Circular logo of BCCI is derived from the emblem of “ Order of the star of India” , the british raj emblem during the colonial period. 

      - Indian Premier League ( IPL) is the child of BCCI. It was launched by BCCI in 2008.
